Horizen Labs Expands Leadership Team with New Appointments
Horizen Labs, a prominent player in the blockchain technology sector, has announced the addition of two significant executives to its leadership team. This move underscores the company’s intention to broaden its global reach, particularly in Asia, which is crucial for advancing blockchain adoption.
New Regional Vice President for Asia
Gwendolyn Regina has been appointed as the Regional Vice President for Asia at Horizen Labs, where she will lead the company’s efforts to enhance its presence in this vital market. With nearly 20 years of experience in operations, leadership, and investment, Gwendolyn has a solid history of nurturing ventures from their early stages across the technology and media industries in the Asia Pacific, the United States, and France. Prior to her role at Horizen Labs, she was the Director at Binance, where she played a key role in establishing the BNB Chain fund under Binance Labs.
Appointment of Chief Strategy Officer
Andy Bryant joins Horizen Labs as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In this capacity, he will apply his vast knowledge in blockchain, fintech, and leadership to propel the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Andy brings over two decades of experience in technology and financial services, having previously founded Vektor, which was recognized as the first operating system for decentralized finance before its acquisition by Nirvana Labs. His experience also includes high-level positions at bitFlyer, BDA Partners, and Suzu Technologies.
Strategic Timing for Leadership Changes
These key appointments come at a crucial juncture for Horizen Labs, following the recent rebranding of Horizen and the exciting projects in the works, including the anticipated Mainnet launch of the Horizen 2.0 blockchain set for the first half of 2025. As Asia emerges as the leading continent for blockchain developers, the company aims to engage more intimately with local developers through hackathons and grant initiatives. The new hires are instrumental in reinforcing Horizen Labs’ standing as a cutting-edge provider of blockchain technology, particularly in zero-knowledge (ZK) solutions.
